Using TextPipe is simple:

  1. Choose the filters you wish to apply.

Filter can be chosen from the Convert, Add, Remove, Email, Special and Map menus. Most filters can be further customized in the right hand area of the screen - just click on the filter you wish to customize.

  2. Choose the files you wish to process (or select the clipboard).

You can drag and drop files from Explorer onto TextPipe's window (anywhere) and they will be placed in the file list. Folders dragged will have "*.*" added to their name - meaning all files in the folder will be processed. You can process the clipboard if you select the Input filter (at the very top of the filter list) and then select Input from Clipboard.

  3. Click the "Go" button to start conversion.

If you wish to override the Input/Output filter settings and instead, take input from the clipboard and then send output to it, click the "Clipboard" button.

While the conversion is in progress, you can click the "Stop" button to cancel it, or you can use the main window to build up another conversion job.

The Clipboard button is always enabled, even if the clipboard is empty. The Go button is only enabled if the file list contains at least one file, or if the input filter specifies that Input comes from the Clipboard.
